Signing a Collaboration protocol with the Ministry of Youth and Sports to release “the Sports Genomics Project”
In line with the Armed Forces commitment to exchanging scientific and practical expertise with various entities and ministries in the country the Egypt Center for Research and Regenerative Medicine signed a Collaboration protocol with the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health Affairs Dr. Ashraf Sobhy Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Mahmoud Saqr President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology Major General Dr. Khaled Amer chief executive officer of the Egypt Center for Research and Regenerative Medicine along with several Armed Forces leaders.
The protocol aims to study and explore the best solutions for using modern technology (Sports Genomics) in the process of selecting and developing the performance of Egyptian sports champions in various sports disciplines. This includes creating a sports plan for the exercises that should be followed based on their genetic Analysis as well as scientifically studying their nutritional intake. The implementation of this project also involves the participation of several specialized Egyptian universities in the fields of medicine and sports sciences.
